Prime Minister Narendra Modi Lauds Amroha’s Dholak at Public Rally in Uttar Pradesh

The GI tag is a name or sign used on certain products which corresponds to a specific geographical location or origin.

The recognition of the Amroha Dholak with a GI tag has not only preserved the cultural heritage of the region but also provided a global platform for the local artisans. This move is expected to boost the local economy and provide new opportunities for the artisans.
