Palamu’s Progress: PM Modi’s Rally Highlights Development and Change

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a public rally here, criticized the Congress party and its supporters for neglecting the region of Palamu. He accused them of being unaware of the region’s geographical location and even went as far as to say that their leaders in Delhi might not even know where Palamu is on the map.

The Prime Minister highlighted the fact that most Dalits and Adivasis live in districts like Palamu. He expressed his disapproval of the derogatory term ‘backward’ used by the Congress to describe Palamu. “They insulted Palamu by calling it backward… I said that this is unacceptable. People of the so-called backward area also have hopes and expectations,” he said.

PM Modi also mentioned that officials used to view postings in such areas as a punishment. In a move to change this perception, he appointed one of the best officers in the country in Palamu. He emphasized the importance of recognizing the aspirations and expectations of the people living in these areas.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the significant improvement in housing in the region. He stated that only 14% of people had pucca houses previously. However, today, almost every family in Palamu has a pucca house, indicating a significant improvement in the living conditions of the residents.

The rally served as a platform for PM Modi to express his commitment to the development of regions like Palamu and his dedication to improving the lives of the residents, particularly the Dalits and Adivasis.
