PM Narendra Modi’s Reverential Visit to Gurudwara Takat Sri Patna Sahib

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a reverential visit to the Gurudwara Takat Sri Patna Sahib, the birthplace of Sri Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru.

PM Modi paid his respects in the Darbar Sahib, a sacred chamber within the Gurudwara. His participation in the Ardaas, a Sikh prayer that seeks divine blessings, showcased his deep respect for the Sikh faith and its traditions.

Adding to the spiritual ambiance of the visit, PM Modi also listened to live Kirtan, a form of devotional music that is an integral part of Sikh worship. The hymns, sung in praise of the Gurus, added a serene touch to the visit.

A significant highlight of the visit was PM Modi’s Darshan of the rare ‘shastras’ or weapons used by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. These weapons are not just historical artifacts but also symbols of the Guru’s bravery and spiritual leadership.

PM Modi’s visit to the Gurudwara is a testament to his commitment to India’s diverse cultural and religious heritage. It sends a strong message of unity in diversity, a principle that is deeply ingrained in the Indian ethos.
