Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma Unveils Ambitious Plans for State Development in Union Budget 2024-25

In a resolute address following the announcement of the Union Budget 2024-25, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma outlined an array of schemes and initiatives aimed at propelling the state towards inclusive growth and development. Emphasizing the transformative impact of the revised budget, CM Sharma asserted that the government’s primary focus is on uplifting Rajasthan’s youth, women, farmers, and the underprivileged sections of society.

“The revised budget underscores our commitment to leave no part of Rajasthan untouched by the wave of development,” affirmed CM Sharma during a meeting at his residence on Wednesday. He underscored the proactive stance of the state government in swiftly addressing development needs voiced by public representatives, ensuring that promises made to the people are meticulously fulfilled.

Highlighting key achievements, CM Sharma noted that nearly 45 percent of the pledges made in the Sankalp Patra have already been honored. Notable among these are significant welfare measures such as a bonus of Rs 125 on the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of wheat, raising it to Rs 2,400 per quintal. Additionally, the amount under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme has been increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000, marking a substantial boost for farmers.

Social security pensions have seen a 15 percent rise, and there has been a 10 percent increase in honorariums for Panchayati Raj, urban bodies, and Anganwadi workers, reflecting the government’s commitment to enhancing the livelihoods of grassroots workers.

Assuring continued momentum in public welfare initiatives, CM Sharma pledged that every commitment outlined in the Sankalp Patra will be realized in due course. He also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visionary leadership, citing initiatives such as the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’, which have brought about significant societal changes since 2014.

“Under PM Modi’s guidance, initiatives like ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ are inspiring environmental stewardship among citizens,” CM Sharma remarked, highlighting the recent campaign encouraging tree planting in honor of mothers.

In a detailed breakdown of regional development projects, CM Sharma unveiled ambitious plans for Kota, Beawar, and Jaitaran. Projects in Jaitaran alone, totaling Rs 30 crore, include extensive road infrastructure upgrades and crucial amenities such as a 220 KV Grid Substation and healthcare facilities.

“In Beawar, a Scheduled Caste Hostel will soon be operational, while Kota will witness the commencement of construction on a Green Field Airport,” CM Sharma elaborated, outlining a comprehensive roadmap for regional growth.

Concluding with a call to action, CM Sharma reiterated the government’s commitment to the principles of Antyodaya, envisioned by Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay, aimed at uplifting the most marginalized sections of society. He urged citizens to actively participate in and benefit from the welfare schemes rolled out by both the Central and State Governments.

The ambitious vision outlined by CM Bhajanlal Sharma signals a determined effort to propel Rajasthan towards a future marked by equitable development and prosperity for all its citizens.
