Rajasthan Deputy CM Diya Kumari Criticizes Rahul Gandhi’s Statements Abroad

Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister, Diya Kumari, has responded sharply to recent comments made by Congress MP and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi. Kumari criticized Gandhi for his remarks made abroad, calling them a waste of time and questioning his patriotism.

Kumari’s comments came after Gandhi’s statements about India during his international engagements drew criticism. Speaking in Jaipur, the Deputy CM asserted, “Talking about his (Rahul Gandhi’s) statements is a waste of time. If you love your country and are a patriot, you will not speak ill of your country anywhere, and he (Rahul Gandhi) is going abroad and speaking ill of his country.”

The Deputy Chief Minister’s remarks underscore a growing contention over Gandhi’s critiques of India’s current political and social landscape, which he has voiced during his overseas visits. Kumari’s criticism reflects broader concerns within Indian political circles about the impact of such statements on the country’s international image.

“This is his point of view, but this is not right,” Kumari added, emphasizing that expressing discontent about one’s country on foreign soil could be perceived as damaging to national interests.

The exchange highlights the ongoing political debates within India, where international comments by prominent figures are closely scrutinized and often lead to contentious reactions. As political leaders continue to navigate these discussions, the impact of such statements on public perception and diplomatic relations remains a topic of significant interest and debate.
