Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, and Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya participated in the 12th Regional 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and Circular Economy Forum in Asia and the Pacific, held in Jaipur.
The forum, a key platform for discussions on sustainable waste management and resource efficiency, saw participation from policy-makers, industry leaders, and environmental experts from across the region. The leaders also visited an exhibition showcasing innovative solutions in waste management, recycling, and circular economy practices.
Speaking at the event, CM Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized Rajasthan’s commitment to sustainable development and resource conservation. “The circular economy is the future. Efficient waste management and recycling initiatives will not only help our environment but also create economic opportunities,” he stated.
Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar highlighted the role of smart cities in adopting 3R principles, reiterating the central government’s focus on urban sustainability. He also spoke about the recently announced competition among 100 smart cities to develop innovative waste management solutions.
Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the importance of state-level collaboration in promoting eco-friendly urban policies.
The 3R and Circular Economy Forum serves as a crucial initiative for fostering regional cooperation, technological advancements, and policy discussions to address environmental challenges in the Asia-Pacific region.
