Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, while addressing BJP workers in Mandawa, launched a sharp attack on the Congress and made a significant announcement for the Shekhawati region.
“Congress defrauded the people of Shekhawati,” Sharma said, accusing the previous government of neglect and unfulfilled promises. He then made a major commitment, stating, “I want to announce that Shekhawati will receive Yamuna’s water.”
The declaration was met with applause from party workers and local residents, as water scarcity has long been a pressing issue in the arid Shekhawati belt, which includes districts like Jhunjhunu, Sikar, and Churu.
The CM’s promise to bring Yamuna water to the region signals a major infrastructural push, aimed at boosting agriculture and improving the quality of life in one of Rajasthan’s most historically significant regions.
