Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the Vijay Sankalp Rally in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, painted a vivid picture of the transformation that the state has undergone under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.
The Prime Minister began his address by recalling the state’s past under the Congress rule, referring to it as one of the ‘Bimaru Rajya’. The term ‘Bimaru’, an acronym for Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, was used in the past to describe the poor economic conditions of these states.
“Madhya Pradesh had become one of the ‘Bimaru Rajya’ during Congress’ rule,” Modi said, highlighting the challenges that the state faced under the previous administration.
However, the narrative of Madhya Pradesh, and particularly the Chambal region, has changed significantly since the BJP came to power. “After filling the potholes of Congress, the BJP has given a new identity to Chambal and Madhya Pradesh,” the Prime Minister stated, emphasizing the progress made under the current government.
The transformation is most evident to the people of Bhind, Morena, and Gwalior, who have lived through the ‘dark period’ of the Congress rule. According to Modi, these citizens are now experiencing firsthand the development that has taken place under the BJP government.
The Prime Minister’s address at the Vijay Sankalp Rally underscores the BJP’s commitment to continue this trajectory of growth and development in Madhya Pradesh. As the state moves forward, it sheds its ‘Bimaru’ past and embraces a future of prosperity and progress.
