Jaipur – Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President P.T. Usha has announced that the National Games will be organized by the end of this year or within the first three months of the next year. Speaking at a recent event, Usha emphasized the importance of ensuring that athletes receive adequate support and benefits.
“The National Games will be a significant event, and we aim to hold them either by the end of this year or within the first quarter of next year,” Usha stated. She highlighted the need to focus on the welfare of athletes, ensuring they have the necessary support and resources to excel.
Usha also commended the performance of Indian athletes in the Paralympics, noting that while there were several fourth-place finishes, the overall performance was commendable. Looking ahead, she set an ambitious goal for the next year, aiming for India to secure 15-20 additional medals.
The upcoming National Games and the targeted increase in medal count reflect a commitment to enhancing the quality and support of Indian sports. Usha’s remarks underscore a continued effort to improve the performance of Indian athletes on both national and international stages.
