Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is in action mode. He has called an important meeting of all the departmental secretaries and ACSs in the secretariat at 5 pm today. The meeting will discuss various issues related to governance, development, law and order, women safety, paper leak, and organized crime. The CM, who has already shown his seriousness on these matters, will now give a message to all the officials about his vision and expectations for the coming days.
The CM, who was sworn in on December 12, 2023, after the BJP won 115 seats in the Rajasthan assembly elections, has been busy with various activities since then. He has inaugurated the camp office at Sanganer, visited the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya, met the Governor Kalraj Mishra, and interacted with the party leaders and workers. He has also taken some bold decisions, such as transferring three JDA officials, ordering a probe into the paper leak scam, and announcing a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the family of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the president of Karni Sena who was murdered recently.
The CM, who hails from Atari village in Bharatpur and is a devotee of Govardhan, was fielded by the BJP in place of the sitting MLA Ashok Lahoti. He has experience of working in the organization and has been a Mahamantri of the BJP. He is also considered a close aide of former CM Vasundhara Raje and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. His elevation as the CM has surprised many, as his name was not among the frontrunners for the post. However, he has received the support and blessings of the PM Narendra Modi, the Home Minister Rajnath Singh, the party president Vinod Tawde, the state in-charge Arun Singh, and the state president CP Joshi.
The CM has said that he will work with the team Rajasthan to fulfill the aspirations of the people and implement the promises made by the BJP in its manifesto. He has also assured that he will maintain a cordial relationship with the Centre and seek its cooperation for the development of the state. He has appealed to the people to follow the Covid-19 guidelines and get vaccinated as soon as possible. He has also expressed his gratitude to the voters, the party workers, and the media for their support and trust.
