Kota, Rajasthan — Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla praised the significant strides made in India’s railway infrastructure under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his address at the inaugural ceremony of the new special train service between Kota and Delhi.
Birla emphasized the transformative impact of the Modi government’s focus on rail connectivity, saying, “Under the leadership of PM Modi, the Railway Minister has given a new direction to rail connectivity.” He highlighted the numerous advancements, such as the launch of new trains like Namo and Vande Bharat, alongside the development of new railway lines and stations.
The Speaker further noted the positive changes for daily commuters, stating, “People who travel on a daily basis also get facilities through MEMU trains, so that even the poorest of the poor can board the train.” Birla underscored that the government’s initiatives are designed to ensure that India’s railways cater to all sections of society, providing affordable and accessible travel options to millions.
The ceremony in Kota marks another step toward improving transportation infrastructure in Rajasthan and across the nation, making travel more efficient and inclusive.
