Speaking at the National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations in Madhubani, Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed the nation’s collective grief and outrage over the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where innocent civilians were targeted and brutally killed.
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said, “This attack on tourists from different parts of India is not just an assault on individuals but on our unity and peace-loving spirit.” He assured that support would be extended to the families of the deceased and that the injured would receive the best medical treatment.
Condemning the perpetrators, PM Modi vowed severe punishment for those directly and indirectly involved in the attack. “The resolve of 140 crore Indians will not rest until terrorism is completely eradicated,” he said, reaffirming the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.
His remarks come at a time of national mourning and heightened concern over security, underscoring the government’s firm stance and commitment to protecting every citizen, regardless of region or religion.
