COOCH BEHAR – Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a public rally in Cooch Behar, underscored the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government’s significant strides in poverty alleviation over the past decade.
“For decades, Congress kept giving the slogan of ‘Garibi Hatao’ (Eradicate Poverty). It is the BJP government which, in the last ten years, alleviated 25 crore people from poverty,” said PM Modi.
The Prime Minister attributed this achievement to the sincerity and right intentions (‘niyat’) of the BJP government. He emphasized that the government’s dedicated efforts and commitment to the welfare of the people have resulted in this substantial reduction in poverty.
This statement comes as a pointed critique of the Congress party’s long-standing ‘Garibi Hatao’ campaign, which has been a significant part of their political narrative. PM Modi’s comments highlight the BJP’s focus on effective policy implementation and their commitment to social upliftment.
The Prime Minister’s remarks have sparked a renewed discussion on the effectiveness of the government’s poverty alleviation programs and their impact on the nation’s socio-economic landscape.
As the BJP continues to underscore its achievements, the focus remains on the party’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and prosperous India.
