PM Modi in Bettiah: NDA Governance Has Ensured Safety, Dignity, and Empowerment for Women in Bihar

Bettiah, Bihar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed a massive public rally in Bettiah, reaffirming the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) commitment to women’s empowerment and social upliftment in Bihar.

Highlighting the government’s initiatives that have transformed the lives of women, PM Modi said the NDA has ensured both safety and dignity for women through wide-ranging welfare schemes. “From toilets to tap water and clean cooking fuel — every initiative has been aimed at improving the quality of life for women across Bihar,” he said.

PM Modi lauded the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, noting that under the NDA’s governance, Bihar has taken historic steps to empower women. He cited the implementation of 50% reservation for women in local bodies, 33% reservation in Parliament and State Assemblies, and 35% in government jobs, as significant milestones that have opened doors of opportunity for women in the state.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the success of the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana, under which financial assistance of ₹10,000 has already been transferred to the accounts of over 1.4 crore women, enabling them to start small-scale businesses and achieve financial independence.

“Bihar’s matrushakti is the foundation of the state’s development. The NDA will continue to strengthen and support their progress with greater resolve,” PM Modi asserted, receiving enthusiastic applause from the gathering.

The rally in Bettiah underscored the NDA’s focus on women-led development and its vision to build a more inclusive and prosperous Bihar.
