Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the BJP Karyakartas at the BJP headquarters, extended his congratulations to the country’s Election Commission for successfully conducting what he termed as the “world’s largest election.”
The Prime Minister praised the commission’s efficiency, stating, “The commission conducted the world’s largest election so efficiently. All staff did a great job in such hot weather with about 100 crore voters, 11 lakh polling stations, one crore polling personnel, and 55 lakh voting machines.”
He also commended the security personnel for their sense of duty during the election process. “Our security personnel displayed a great sense of duty,” he said.
PM Modi emphasized the pride every Indian feels for the country’s election process, the entire system of elections, and the credibility of the election process. He stated, “Every Indian is proud of India’s election process, this entire system of elections, and the credibility of the election process.”
He further added that there is no evidence in the world of elections on this scale, elections with this efficiency. “We should proudly propagate it all over the world,” he said.
The Prime Minister’s remarks come after the successful conclusion of the recent elections, which saw a massive voter turnout despite the challenging weather conditions.
