Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a spirited crowd at a public rally in Krishnanagar, Nadia, ventured into the realm of election prognostication, casting doubt on the electoral fortunes of both the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Congress party.
In a bold assertion, PM Modi questioned the TMC’s capacity to secure a significant number of seats, remarking, “TMC isn’t even winning 15 seats in the country. Now tell me, can TMC form the govt with 15 seats?” His statement resonated with the audience, drawing applause and indicating a robust support base for the BJP in the region.
Not content with critiquing the TMC alone, Modi turned his attention to the Congress party, predicting a struggle for the grand old party to secure a substantial number of seats. “No matter how hard it tries, Congress will not be able to go past a half-century (50 seats),” he remarked, expressing skepticism about the party’s prospects of forming a government under such circumstances.
These remarks come against the backdrop of heightened election fever gripping the nation. With political parties gearing up for a fierce electoral battle, PM Modi’s predictions carry significant weight and could potentially foreshadow a seismic shift in the country’s political landscape.
However, as the Prime Minister himself noted, only time will reveal the accuracy of these bold predictions. With the country on the cusp of elections, all eyes are trained on the TMC and the Congress party, as well as the BJP, to gauge their performance at the polls and discern the shape of the political landscape that will emerge in the aftermath of the elections.
