Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the 32nd International Conference of Agricultural Economists (ICAE) on August 3, 2024. The event will take place at the National Agricultural Science Centre (NASC) Complex in New Delhi, beginning at 9:30 AM. The Prime Minister will also address the conference, setting the tone for discussions on crucial agricultural issues.
The ICAE, held every three years by the International Association of Agricultural Economists, is being hosted in India for the first time in 65 years. The conference will run from August 2 to August 7, 2024, under the theme “Transformation Towards Sustainable Agri-Food Systems.”
This year’s conference aims to tackle the significant challenges facing the agriculture sector, including climate change, resource scarcity, rising production costs, and regional conflicts. The event will showcase India’s advancements and proactive measures in sustainable agriculture and highlight innovative practices and research in the field.
Approximately 1,000 delegates from 75 countries will participate in ICAE 2024, providing a platform for experts, researchers, and policymakers to exchange ideas and collaborate on solutions. The conference will focus on strengthening global partnerships, influencing agricultural policies, and promoting advancements in digital agriculture and sustainable food systems.
