Kota: The Indian Railways has announced some good news for the passengers travelling from and to Kota. The Avadh Express, which runs between Bandra Terminus and Barauni, will now stop at Modak station for two minutes. This stoppage is currently for six months and further decisions will be taken later. This will benefit hundreds of passengers, including government employees, officers and villagers, who travel from Kota to Modak every day.
The railways has also restored two trains that were cancelled due to the third line work at Shahdol station. The Udaipur City-Shalimar Express and the Ajmer Durg Express will resume their services as per their old schedule from February 17 and 18, respectively. The Udaipur City-Shalimar Express covers a distance of 1876 km in 32 hours and 30 minutes, while the Ajmer Durg Express covers a distance of 1400 km in 26 hours and 45 minutes.
The railways has taken these steps to provide better connectivity and convenience to the passengers. The passengers are requested to check the train timings and availability of seats before booking their tickets.
