Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma continued his high-profile international tour on Tuesday with a visit to Seoul Technical High School. This visit marked the second day of Sharma’s trip to South Korea and Japan, aimed at fostering international collaboration and promoting investment opportunities in Rajasthan.
During his visit to Seoul Technical High School, Chief Minister Sharma engaged with Principal Jobok Lee, school officials, teachers, and students. He toured the Advanced Technical Centre within the school, where he witnessed firsthand the integration of cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology into the classroom. This advanced educational environment exemplifies South Korea’s commitment to nurturing innovation and creativity among students.
In his remarks, Sharma emphasized the importance of skill development in enhancing employment opportunities and career progression. He suggested that similar initiatives could be beneficial if established in Rajasthan, expressing his hope that the school authorities might consider setting up a similar institute in the state. To strengthen ties and encourage cultural exchange, Sharma extended an invitation to the school officials and students to visit Rajasthan, warmly welcoming them with the phrase, “Padharo Mhare Desh” (You are invited to our state).
CM Sharma’s visit to South Korea is part of a broader international strategy as he leads a high-level delegation to attract investment for the forthcoming ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit,’ scheduled for December. On Monday, Sharma addressed investors, highlighting Rajasthan’s ongoing efforts to enhance the business environment through improved processes and policies.
Sharma underscored that the Government of Rajasthan views South Korea not just as a source of investment, but as a potential long-term partner across various sectors. He outlined upcoming policies designed to further bolster the state’s business climate, including the New Industrial Policy, Export Promotion Policy, MSME Policy, and the One District, One Product Policy.
In addition to his visit to the educational institution, CM Sharma held one-on-one meetings with senior officials from major South Korean companies and associations. These discussions involved key players in infrastructure, chemicals, startups, and tourism. Notable meetings included those with POSCO International, SG Corporation, GS E&C, Hanwha Solution, and the Jeonbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center (JCCEI), which serves as a startup incubator.
The trip underscores Rajasthan’s commitment to forging global partnerships and enhancing its appeal as a business destination. Sharma’s interactions with South Korean business leaders and educational institutions highlight his administration’s proactive approach to driving investment and innovation in the state.
