Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized the pivotal role of the gems and jewellery industry in the state’s economic growth, highlighting efforts to bolster the sector and improve business conditions for entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the inauguration of the prestigious jewellery show JAS-2024 organized by the Jewellery Association, Chief Minister Sharma underscored the sector’s significant contribution to Rajasthan’s economic landscape. He announced that the gems and jewellery sector accounted for a substantial Rs 11,183 crore in exports during the fiscal year 2023-24, reflecting its crucial role in the state’s export economy.
“Gems and jewellery businessmen have been instrumental in driving economic progress and employment generation in Rajasthan,” Chief Minister Sharma affirmed, acknowledging the sector’s role as a major job creator.
Jaipur, renowned globally for its exquisite gems and jewellery, holds a prominent position in the industry.
