Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma met Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan in Delhi to discuss various energy projects in the state. The two leaders also reviewed the progress of the Barmer Refinery and Petrochemical Complex, which is being developed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and the Rajasthan government.
Pradhan appreciated Sharma’s vision and leadership and assured him of the Centre’s full cooperation in the implementation of the energy projects in Rajasthan. He said that the Barmer Refinery, which is expected to be completed by 2025, would be a game-changer for the state and the nation, as it would produce high-quality fuels and petrochemicals, and reduce the dependence on imports.
The two leaders also discussed the potential of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, in Rajasthan, and the need to promote clean and green energy. They agreed to work together to make Rajasthan a leader in the energy sector and a model for other states
