Rajasthan CM Promises Ambitious Electricity Reforms by 2027

In a bold declaration aimed at addressing longstanding energy challenges in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has outlined a comprehensive plan to revolutionize the state’s electricity sector by 2027. Speaking at a public address, Sharma criticized the previous Congress administration, alleging significant neglect in the realm of electricity production and infrastructure development.

“The previous Congress government neither worked in the field of electricity production, nor did it work on how its possibilities can be in Rajasthan, nor did it work for its infrastructure,” remarked Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. He emphasized a commitment to rectify these shortcomings, promising substantial improvements in electricity supply across the state.

Sharma highlighted a series of ambitious goals for the near future, asserting, “We have told the people of Rajasthan that in the coming time till 2027, we will work in every way to provide electricity to the farmers and we will work to get rid of the huge problem of electricity.” Central to his vision is the assurance that farmers will receive uninterrupted daytime electricity, while industries and households will also benefit from increased supply.

Acknowledging the critical nature of electricity in driving economic growth and improving quality of life, Sharma pledged, “We have promised that we will definitely work towards increasing the production of electricity. In the coming time, we have promised the farmers that we will provide electricity to them during the day, we will provide full electricity to the industry, and we will provide full electricity to the domestic sector.”

The Chief Minister’s ambitious plan also includes measures to make Rajasthan self-reliant in electricity generation. “We are confident that Rajasthan will become self-reliant in the field of electricity,” Sharma affirmed, reflecting a determined push towards energy independence.

The announcement comes amid growing concerns over electricity shortages and inconsistent supply, issues that have long plagued Rajasthan’s development agenda. Sharma’s proactive stance seeks to not only meet current demand but also to prepare for future needs, fostering an environment conducive to industrial growth and sustainable development.

As the state government gears up to implement these transformative initiatives, stakeholders across Rajasthan await tangible progress in realizing these ambitious commitments. With the eyes of the public fixed on these promises, the efficacy of Sharma’s strategy will undoubtedly shape the socio-economic landscape of Rajasthan in the years to come.
