Jodhpur, Rajasthan – Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has hit back at former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot following Gehlot’s recent political statements. In a press conference, Shekhawat urged politicians to reflect on their own tenures before criticizing others, specifically highlighting the issues faced during Gehlot’s time in office.
“Before making political statements, each person should look within themselves,” Shekhawat remarked, pointing out the rise in atrocities against women during Gehlot’s five-year tenure. He noted that the former Chief Minister failed to address significant problems, including numerous incidents of exam paper leaks, which he claimed were overlooked as Gehlot issued clean chits to officials involved.
“Under his government, so many incidents of exam paper leaks happened, and he kept giving clean chits to everyone,” Shekhawat stated. He suggested that Gehlot’s comments stem from frustration rather than a genuine critique, asserting that the people of Rajasthan have witnessed the shortcomings of his administration.
Shekhawat’s remarks come amid ongoing political tensions in Rajasthan as parties gear up for the upcoming elections. By emphasizing Gehlot’s record, the Union Minister aims to reinforce the BJP’s narrative of accountability and governance, positioning the party as a more reliable alternative for the electorate.
